RPS Composites at EUEC 2018

Kira Kaleps, our Sales & Business Development Manager, will be speaking at EUEC 2018, the Energy, Utility & Environment Conference in San Diego, March 5-7.

Kira’s presentation on Custom Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Piping (FRP) Applications in Wet FGD Slurry and Wastewater Processing will be delivered on Tuesday afternoon.

Abstract: There are a variety of choices of materials for managing corrosive and erosive process streams in wet FGD and scrubber effluent processing. Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Composite material of construction offers a reliable and cost effective alternative to metallic and lined metallic piping systems when combatting high chlorides and erosive slurries inherent to wet FGD scrubber and wastewater operations. This presentation will review customized FRP pipe systems and their use in such erosive and corrosive process streams. These systems can be designed to various pressure and temperature ratings and the materials of construction can be optimized to suit the process conditions and construction time frame.
