The Position:

We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Manager to join our Manufacturing Team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair and/or replacement of plant equipment and facilities. What You Will Do:

  • Undertake and schedule planned maintenance, emergent maintenance for production, equipment, facilities office, and external building & grounds (using digital tools, ex. Monday.com or equivalent software)
  • Collaborates with Operations team regarding status of machine breakdowns and repairs
  • Assist with capital expenditures and equipment installation as required
  • Attend and contribute to regular team meetings
  • Maintain all maintenance records for plant and equipment, as well as HSE related records as required by OSHA (daily forklift checks etc…)
  • Proactively work with Production, all managers and shop technicians to identify and implement improvements to operations, machine and resource efficiencies
  • Promoting a continuous improvement culture within the team
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of 5S activities in all plant areas with particular focus on follow up activities to ensure program sustainability
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors as required
  • Responsible for ensuring that a clean, tidy and hazard free working environment is maintained to defined standards
  • General Maintenance and repair of plant facilities and grounds
  • Perform general program administration tasks as necessary
  • Supervise Maintenance Team associates; hire, train, develop & coach, performance manage
  • Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety policies & procedures, and support a culture of safety

 

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience plus proven success at plant maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong people skills, with customer service focus and commitment to delivering value
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled with reading mechanical assemblies and drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical knowledge
  • Good understanding of safety requirements and OSHA
  • Understanding of 5 S principles, how to manage a 5S program for efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, protective gloves, and protective clothing and footwear as required
  • Able to work a flexible schedule if required, including nights, weekends, and on-call hours as a project plan or emergencies requires
  • Skilled in the use of power tools, small hand tools, forklift, manlifts, etc…
  • Sense of urgency and self-initiative, and the personal drive for success
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs, positioning such as bend, squat, kneel, climb, balancing, crawling, etc… for 3-8 hours per day
  • Good computer skills with MS Office Suite, ability to learn new software, use digital planning software (Monday.com)
