The Position:
As a member of the Finance Team, this role is focused on full cycle accounting activities, financial & regulatory reporting, variance analysis, and working with internal & external stakeholders regarding overall financial results and processes. Working as a financial business partner with a business unit to optimize performance, this role will provide solid financial information and analysis.

You’ve got very strong accounting skills and business acumen with an ability to figure things out from a systems and business perspective. You like to be the master of your accounting software/ERP yet bring a balance of great people skills to round you off.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Manage financial consolidation
- Monthly reporting; work closely with team members to ensure month end closing deadlines and accuracy of information is met
- Reconciliations
- Establish and maintain internal controls and procedures, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Pricing and costing updates in ERP system
- Assisting and participating with annual external audit
- Analysis and interpretation of financial data
- Work collaboratively across the organization as a genuine financial working partner, advising and guiding business units
- Implement change and continuous improvement efforts appropriately, with ability to streamline and improve processes
- Participate in or lead special projects as required
- Contribute to enhancing financial reporting processes and systems
What You Bring:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate accounting
- Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) or near completion
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Previous experience in the manufacturing sector a strong asset
- Strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel skills, you embrace technology, use new digital tools, ERP, etc.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to see larger picture and trends
- Ability to thrive in a deadline driven, team focused environment
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills, attention to detail
- Knowledge of Canadian, US accounting, intercompany processes preferred
- Strong knowledge regarding financial statement preparation and experience in budget and forecast preparation and variance analysis
