The Position:
This role will be responsible for full cycle accounting activities, financial & regulatory reporting, variance analysis, and working with internal & external stakeholders regarding overall financial results and processes.

What You Will Do:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Managing financial consolidation
- Monthly reporting; works closely with team members to ensure month end closing deadlines and accuracy of information is met
- Reconciliations of various accounts, reports
- Establishing and maintaining internal controls and procedures, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Preparation and review of journal entries
- Pricing and costing updates in ERP system
- Assisting and participation with annual external audit
- Analysis and interpretation of financial data
- Work collaboratively across the organization as a genuine financial working partner advising and guiding business units
- Implements change appropriately and continuous improvement with ability to streamline and improve processes
- Contribute to enhancing financial reporting processes and systems
- Other tasks as required
What You Bring:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate accounting
- Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) or near completion
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Previous experience in the manufacturing sector a strong asset
- Strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel skills, embraces technology, new digital tools, ERP, etc.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to see larger picture and trends
- Ability to thrive in a deadline driven, team focused environment
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills, attention to detail
- Knowledge of Canadian, US accounting, intercompany processes preferred
- Strong knowledge regarding financial statement preparation
