The Position:

As a member of the Production Team this role is key to making world-class products for our clients.

Operating machinery and hand tools such as rollers to apply resin and catalyst to mold surfaces, roving and chopped fiberglass used in manufacturing fiberglass pipe, fittings or other products.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensures product being worked on is created to precise design requirements
  • Operates and maintains lamination equipment
  • Uses rollers to physically remove air and resin from the fiberglass and roving
  • Manages the lamination process, monitors curing time and surface temperature and adjusts process to ensure compliance with standards
  • Cuts excess fiberglass from part edge
  • Examines laminated parts for defects
  • Layers mat and roving onto the mold for application of resin
  • Maintains a clean workstation and work area, free of any safety hazards
  • Communicates issues to Supervisor, provide continuous improvement ideas
  • Understands and adheres to all safety standards and procedures including chemical/equipment handling, and personal protective equipment
  • Other tasks and/or projects as assigned

What You Bring:

  • Ability to work with hand tools
  • Ability to cut glass, complete putty joints, prep joints, make patterns, interpret layup sequence, promote & catalyze resin, wet out laminate, roll out laminate, pass laminator bonder test, and calculate catalyst percentage
  • Good communication skills and can work well with others
  • Contributes to creating a safe and respectful workplace
  • Ability to follow verbal and documented instructions closely
  • Must have reliable attendance and takes pride in work
  • Ability to work overtime both planned and unplanned from time to time
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in lamination preferred
